As a teenager, Aaron Jones had an aptitude for bringing out the best in people. Aaron's career path has allowed him to continue helping others pursue their career dreams, as he earned his Master’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Grant Writing from Kansas State University.
Career Coach Evelyn Young was extremely active in high school and college in the business setting. Interview preparation is her passion and forte as she has presented at many conferences on this topic for the past ten years. Evelyn received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from Washburn University.
Dylan Cruz made it his life’s goal to market for a non-profit agency that would make a difference in the lives of many people. He feels the best way to do this is through education and career opportunities. Dylan achieved his Bachelor’s degree in Strategic Communications from the University of Kansas.
All three of our career professionals attended Wellsville High School, where they were involved in many of the same organizations and activities. Although they pursued degrees at different Kansas universities, they maintained constant contact and an everlasting friendship. Through various meetings and brainstorming sessions, they all had one goal, which was to teach individuals how to acquire the necessary skills to land their dream job. With all of the resources and assistance they had from their individual university Career Placement Centers, they knew they had the expertise and experience to help make a difference in the lives of others. Soon after Aaron Jones graduated from Kansas State University, he founded what is now known as DEK Career Services. Because DEK Career Services is funded by a 10-year provisional grant through the Federal Department of Labor, all professional services provided by DEK Career Services are free of charge. Our goal for every client is to ensure that no matter who you are or where you come from, we will prepare you to pursue the career of your dreams.
